Project Overview

Andrea Agostini (with Elana Lanczi) presents a site-specific performance in Fort Lauderdale, FL, engaging dance with marine conservation themes. The work responds to local coastal dynamics and the cultural landscape surrounding the Carpenter House / Marine Environmental Education Center.

Site & Ancestral Land

The performance is situated at Carpenter House / Marine Environmental Education Center, acknowledging the area’s history and its role as a living classroom for marine ecology.

Conservation Focus

The piece foregrounds urgent water issues: coastal flooding and ocean pollution that are threatening the survival of sea turtles. Movement and staging are used to illuminate these pressures and invite reflection on local stewardship.

Collaborators

This project collaborates with Nova Southeastern University Dance Program and the Marine Environmental Education Center (MEEC) to bridge artistic practice and environmental education.
