This area of Lake Michigan is habitat to the indigenous Plover bird species and other endangered species in Illinois. It is part prairie, part beach, part cityscape. We come here every weekend to clean up the microplastics and other waste that washes up on the shore + those that are left by civilians. We are dancing to bring awareness to centering nature conservation, reducing plastic consumption / pollution, + restoring the biodiversity of our environment.
